MOPScout is an automated data aggregation platform. We are NOT a real estate agency, financial advisor, or government entity. The MOP (Minimum Occupation Period) dates and valuation estimates provided are calculated algorithmically based on public data (HDB, URA, OneMap) and may contain errors. You should verify all information with official sources (HDB MyFlat Dashboard) before making any financial decisions.
1. Terms of Service
1.1. Nature of Service (Automated Platform)
MOPScout operates as an automated technology platform designed to:
- Visualize public housing data on a map interface purely for informational purposes.
- Connect Homeowners with Registered Real Estate Agents via automated matching.
- Provide preliminary market estimations based on historical data.
We do not manually verify the data. All services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.
1.2. Limitation of Liability (Strictly Enforced)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- NO WARRANTIES: We expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy of MOP dates, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- ZERO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES: In no event shall MOPScout (or its developers, affiliates) be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of property value) arising out of your use of the Service.
- THE LIABILITY CAP: If, notwithstanding the above, MOPScout is found to be liable by a court of competent jurisdiction, our total cumulative liability to you shall NEVER EXCEED:
- The total amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim; OR
- SGD 1.00 (One Singapore Dollar),
- Whichever is lower.
- (Note: If you are a Free User, this means our maximum liability to you is SGD 0.00)
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold MOPScout harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
1.3. User Conduct & Security
- Anti-Scraping: You agree NOT to use automated scripts, scrapers, crawlers, or bots to harvest data from our map.
- Security Bypass: Any attempt to bypass our security measures (e.g., screenshot blocking, watermark removal, rate-limit evasion) is strictly prohibited.
- Consequences: Violation of this section will result in immediate account termination and may be reported under the Computer Misuse Act of Singapore.
1.4. Payments & Subscriptions
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
- No Refunds: All subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time to prevent future billing.
2. Privacy Policy (PDPA Compliance)
We take your privacy seriously and comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore.
2.1. Collection of Personal Data
We collect the following data to automate our services:
- Login Info: Email address, Name, Profile Picture (via Google/Apple Auth).
- Usage Data: IP address, Device type, Map interaction history.
- Lead Data (Voluntary): Phone number, Postal code, Unit details (only provided when requesting valuation).
2.2. Purpose of Use
- To provide the interactive map service and enforce usage limits (Free vs Pro).
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse (e.g., multiple account creation).
- For Homeowners: To connect you with a Pro Agent only when you explicitly request a valuation.
2.3. Data Sharing & Monetization (Explicit Consent)
By using features such as "Request Valuation", "Unlock Price", or "Contact Agent", you explicitly consent to MOPScout sharing your provided contact details (Phone, Address) with:
- Paid Subscribers (Pro Agents): Who have purchased the right to view leads.
- Service Providers: Supabase (Database), Stripe (Payment), Vercel (Hosting).
We do NOT sell your personal data to random third-party advertisers. Data is only shared to facilitate the property transaction service you requested.
2.4. Protection of Data
- Homeowner phone numbers are stored encrypted in our database (Supabase).
- They are only decrypted and revealed to a Pro Agent after a legitimate lead purchase/subscription transaction is verified.
3. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
